About The Role
The Test Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, and executing tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role works closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify and resolve issues before software deployment.
What you will be doing:
- Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to create detailed test cases and test scripts.
- Execute manual and automated tests across web, mobile, or desktop platforms.
- Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Work collaboratively with development teams to investigate and resolve defects.
- Perform regression, system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Maintain and update test documentation in line with software updates.
- Provide clear test reports and feedback to stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices.

Knowledge and Experience Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a Test Analyst or similar QA role.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with test case management systems and defect tracking tools.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC, particularly in Agile environments.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Knowledge of SQL and ability to write basic queries for data validation.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
- Experience with performance or security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ISTQB certification (preferred but not mandatory).
